The Second AACG Carbon Symposium

Asian Association of Carbon Groups (AACG) Carbon Symposium will be held on April 23–24, 2026 at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with Institute of Combustion Problems, Almaty, Kazakhstan. In this symposium, academicians, industrial participants and students working with carbon materials will present the latest scientific and technological developments in the field.

SCIENTIFIC TOPICS

Carbon in Environment and Catalysis, Carbon in Energy Storage, Carbon fiber and Composites, Nanostuctured Carbon, Innovative Carbon Materials, Carbon in Electronics, Carbon in Biology and Bioengineering, Kerogens, Coals, Cokes, Graphite.

KEY DATES

  • November 20, 2025 – First information announcement
  • December 15, 2025 – Start of abstract submission and preliminary registration form
  • March 15, 2026 – Deadline for abstract submission
  • February 20, 2026 – Start of early registration and payment of registration fee
  • March 15, 2026 – Notification of acceptance of presentations
  • April 01, 2026 – End of early registration and payment of registration fee
  • April 22, 2026 – On-site registration
  • April 23–24, 2026 – Рresentations
  • April 25, 2026 – Visiting the university and departure.

REGISTRATION FEE

  • Participants: $400 per person.
  • Students, Postgraduates, and PhD Candidates: $200 per person.
  • Accompanying Persons: $200 per person.

The registration fee includes a participant kit, seminar proceedings, coffee breaks, a welcome reception, and the banquet.

Full texts of the abstract submitted to the seminar will be published electronically in the proceedings of the AACG Carbon Symposium. 

Selected papers that pass peer review will be published in special issues of the Eurasian Chemico-Technological Journal (editor-in-chief Professor Z.A. Mansurov).

VENUE OF THE SEMINAR

Almaty — is a city of republican significance in Kazakhstan and was the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 1997. It is the largest city in Kazakhstan by population, with over 2 million residents. The city has a modern international airport and two railway stations, making it an ideal location for an international conference.
