Center for Commercialization and Innovative Technologies (CCIT)
In accordance with Order No. 680 dated September 10, 2013, of the Committee for State Property and Privatization of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a real estate property with a land plot, located at Almaty, Polezhaeva St. 20, was transferred to the balance of the State Enterprise “Institute of Combustion Problems” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Center Creation
On October 8, 2013, by decision of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Institute, with the aim of implementing innovative activities in the field of nanotechnology and materials science, the Center for Commercialization of Innovative Technologies (CCIT) was established. The center became a platform for the implementation of developments and projects carried out by the institute’s staff.

Fire-Resistant Coatings Production
Within the center, the production of “X-FLAME” fire-resistant paints was organized, providing fire protection for at least 2 hours. The paints have characteristics that are on par with the best foreign analogs.
A technological line with a capacity of 100 tons per year was created, which allows meeting the needs of the construction sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Commercialization Project
CCIT is commercializing a project on the topic:
“Development and production of new highly efficient sorbents and filters for water purification”.
Specialized furnaces were manufactured for the implementation of the project:
Firing furnace (size: 2000 × 2000 × 2000 mm)
Carbonization furnace
Scientific Directions
Employees of the Vacuum Nanotechnology Laboratory are conducting research in the following areas:
Synthesis of carbon films and hard coatings using various methods
Synthesis of nano- and microcrystals of diamond
Synthesis of thin-film silicon carbides
